For the first time in Gaza - SAWA project conducted the Go Green Hackathon for the industrial sector

As a response to the challenges facing the industrial sector related to the green and circular economy in the Gaza Strip, Enabel implemented, EU funded SAWA project launched the Go Green Hackathon (3-days competition) on the 5th of April, 2021, with full cooperation and coordination with The Palestinian Federation Of Industries (PFI). The Hackathon hosted 30 groups of entrepreneurs -about 100 youth- to develop their solutions (30 solutions) for the industrial sector challenges in the field of green/circular economy in the Gaza Strip.

At the end of the Hackathon, the top-ranked 15 solutions will participate in the second phase of the selection (detailed business planning). The most viable and sustainable 10 green solutions (entrepreneurs) will receive a package of financial and non-financial support and will be incubated by the PFI to having their ideas transferred into valuable businesses.
