On June 9, an innovative training hub for automotive service, diagnostics, and repair specialists was launched at the Chernihiv Higher Vocational School.
The project was implemented through a partnership between Enabel and Bosch Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration. Under the BE-Relieve programme, Belgium funded the renovation of the premises, the procurement of equipment and furniture, and supported instructor training – equipping teachers with the industry-relevant skills they now pass on to their students.
Bosch Junior Academy is designed to equip young people with up-to-date, in-demand technical skills and provide a clear pathway to successful careers in the automotive industry. Training will be delivered using state-of-the-art Bosch equipment, with curricula closely aligned to real-world employer needs. Students will have the opportunity to complete internships within the Bosch Car Service network.
The opening in Chernihiv was attended by Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Luc Jacobs, Ambassador of Belgium to Ukraine, Serhii Baranovskyi, General Director of Robert Bosch Ltd, and Dirk Deprez, Enabel Country Director.
The launch marks another milestone in the expansion of the Bosch Junior Academy network. Since late 2025, a similar training hub has been operating in Boryspil. With support from Belgium, new training facilities are currently in the works at another institution in Chernihiv, as well as at a college in Brovary.
Enabel's partnership with Bosch is part of a broader strategy for vocational education and training. Together with Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science and the European Training Foundation, we support 21 institutions across 12 regions of Ukraine in their journey toward becoming Centres of Vocational Excellence.
