The aim of this D4D Hub is twofold. Firstly, to improve Enabel's expertise on the themes of the digital divide between men and women and digital rights on the basis of targeted actions in this area. Secondly, to share the expertise accumulated on the basis of the implementation of this D4GW project, Digital for Grils and Women project, at Belgian and European levels, more particularly at the level of the African branch of the D4D Hub (which should count as a contribution from Belgium to this mechanism).

In conclusion, women, and men have equal opportunities to participate in and contribute to an inclusive and rights-based digital economy. The focus is on women becoming economically empowered through increased access to and better use of digital technologies. Women and girls are empowered to claim their digital rights.
