The Digital and Green Innovation Joint Action is a global action funded by the European Union, Belgium, France, Germany and Estonia, and implemented by five development agencies. The Action seeks to advance the twin transition to a green and digital economy, with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation. It promotes digital solutions that address environmental challenges, such as climate change and biodiversity loss, while supporting circular and resilient local economies.
As part of the Digital and Green Innovation Action, Enabel Innovation Hub is implementing the Call for Proposals on Scaling digital and green innovations in Africa. This call targets public institutions and private not-for-profit organisations, including academia, non-governmental organisations and social enterprises. It aims to identify and support promising digital social innovations tackling one or more environmental/climate challenge, helping them scale their impact through a combination of financial support and capacity building.
