Project summary

SOCIEUX+ EU expertise for social protection, labour and employment is a technical cooperation programme established and co-financed by the European Union. Its overall objective is to develop and improve access to better employment opportunities and inclusive social protection systems in partner countries of the EU, especially for women and youth.

Based on a peer-to-peer exchange model, SOCIEUX+ shares knowledge, good practices and experience by mobilising European public expertise for short-term cooperation activities. SOCIEUX+ is results- and demand-driven and responds to requests from public institutions and social partners in more than 160 eligible countries and territories.

The initiative is implemented by a partnership composed of Expertise France (lead partner), France Travail, the Belgian Federal Public Service for Social Security via the Belgian International Cooperation for Social Protection (BELINCOSOC), the Belgian Agency for international cooperation (Enabel) and the Fundación para la Internacionalización de las Administraciones Públicas (FIAP) in Spain. The specific objective for the Belgian contribution is ‘Knowledge development’, the learning from the interventions that SOCIEUX+ has been managing in the partner countries and capacity building for the themes of SOCIEUX+. The consortium asked Belgium to review the SOCIEUX+ knowledge development strategy in the light of previous experiences.
